Mercy Corps strengthens capacity of veterinary sector, breeding specialists with video tutorials

Since 2017, Mercy Corps Mongolia has supported the development of the livestock sector. Through the flagship Resilient Communities Program, our team has worked closely with breeding cooperative and government personnel to improve livestock productivity in Khushaat County, Selenge Province. One component of our implementation strategy involves strengthening the capacity of area of public and private veterinarians and breeding specialists.

In lieu of face-to-face training workshops, which can be high cost and low reach, Mercy Corps Mongolia has created a suite of video tutorials—see below— detailing the various breeding and veterinary procedures that will help herders, veterinarians, breeding specialists and local government officials keep their four-legged patients happy, healthy and out of harm’s way.
